A Mustang since 2016, Barrett has been competing as a jumps and hurdles athlete for a number of years and is currently an athlete with the University of Alberta for the indoor season as well as with the club for the outdoor season. Barrett has spent a number of years coaching in the junior development program and has recently began assisting with senior hurdles. She was also the 2023 Summer Student and has assisted with coaching the local junior and senior high schools.
