Senior Program

For athletes 16 to 29, we offer specialized programming in running, jumping, and throwing. You can finally stick to the events you enjoyed most in Mini Mustangs, JD Program or in school, or you can do it all as a multisport athlete. Our program is designed to bring out the potential in an athlete of any event!

Event Groups

Sprints/
HurDLES

There is lots to know when it comes to sprinting, hurdling, or running relays; now the secrets to those events can be revealed! Come join the team and get the edge on your competition.

Jumps

Jumpers attempt to defy gravity – pushing the boundaries for distance and height. Nothing beats sailing through the air, reaching for a few more cm in long jump or flying over the high jump bar.

Throws

There are four different throwing events included in track and field: hammer, discus, javelin, and shot put. Athletes are required to demonstrate power, strength, and accuracy.

Distance

There are clear differences between sprinters and distance runners. At our club we teach the sprint, speed endurance, and aerobic conditioning to master this event.

Seasons Offered

Base Season (Sept - Nov)

Cross Country Season (Sept - Nov)

Indoor Season

Outdoor Season

The base season is a foundational training phase focused on developing general athleticism, work capacity, and proper movement patterns for track and field athletes. This preparation builds the strength necessary for the higher-intensity, event-specific training and competitions that follow. PLEASE NOTE: Base/XC is a pre-requisite for SR Indoor registration.

Running through the fall months, the cross country season focuses on aerobic endurance, mental toughness, and strength over natural terrain. Senior athletes navigate varied outdoor courses and elevation changes, building a deep cardiovascular foundation that translates into success for both cross country competitions and the upcoming track seasons. PLEASE NOTE: Base/XC is a pre-requisite for SR Indoor registration.

Running through the winter months, the indoor season focuses on speed, power, and high-intensity execution on a 200m track. Athletes refine race tactics and technical skills in a controlled environment, competing in shortened sprint, hurdle, and field events to build momentum for the spring.

The primary focus of the track and field calendar, the outdoor season spans late spring and summer on standard 400m tracks. It introduces the full event slate—including full-distance hurdles, discus, javelin, and hammer throw—allowing senior athletes to peak for major regional and national championship meets.
